All of the brilliants of God's creation is so overwhelming. His graciousness, peace, beauty and Love cannot be expressed in normal language. A peom helps me express emotion. Most of these poems are songs that I have written, but since I can't write music, I have adapted these into poems.
A poem is a thought expressed in words,
It cannot be said but only be heard.
It creates a feeling through the rhythm and the rhyme,
A feeling that is carried through all of earth’s time.
A poem is a thought expressed in words,
It has many emotions mixed up in a blur.
The feelings can be heard as happy or sad,
Joyful, rainy, remorseful, or glad.
A poem is a thought expressed in words,
As we try to speak God’s language,
in what humans have heard,
Because this makes the world go round.

Sunsets:
The sunset is a picture painted in the sky,
Painted anew by God’s paintbrush on high.
As the sun says good by to her silhouetted world,
She goes paraded with pink and yellow swirls.
With lakes made of rubies and Mountains of gold,
And the sky of an orange that isn’t to bold.
With rivers of sapphire and cities of pink,
Near God’s glory, we sit on the brink.

Fixing Frowns
Take a look, look around,
All I see are tons of frowns!
Wal-mart, Target, Dollar Store,
All I see are frowns gollor!
Are all people so dismally gray,
It’s not even a rainy day!
This is a disapointing sight,
We shall fix this pickling plight.
So this is my recipe for fixing frowns,
Bake untill you see smiles around.
Set your brain to happy degrees
and mix the following ingredients please:
1 thought of the best day you’ve ever had,
1 gigle from a joke that hasn’t gone bad.
5 minutes thought on the wonder of life.
1 recolection of your best dreams at night.
Mix the thoughts until light and fluffy,
Add the others until your mixture is puffy.
Then pour into the pan of your mind.
Bake untill you feel happy and kind.
Serve in the dish of the smille on your face,
Don’t be greedy, but give all a taste.
Where that smile day and night;
Act like your having the time of your life!
Nod a smile to the grumpy clerk
And to Mother with a baby-spit-up shirt.

The
True Father.
The future lies before my like a path covered by snow,
In life’s unsure course, uncovering it I must go.
But not with out the help of a certain loving man,
Who never fails stretch out an ever encouraging hand.
This man I love with all my heart, with all the love I know.
This is very special for it’s what only daughters can show,
To a loving father who keeps them like a gem,
To the true father who really treasures them.
Not the father who ships them off to a school each day,
And only worrying himself about their board to pay.
But to the father who nurtures them, every day and night,
and only with great precaution ever lets them leave his sight.
Daddy thank you very much for all the things you’ve done,
and just incase I forget, thanks for all the things to come.

Stars of Faith:
Out of every
corner, there creeps a fear,
Every shadow
comes so near.
But a
darkness that over shadows all,
Is what creates the Christian’s wall.
***
The morning
air is crisp and clean,
The sun
shoots forth a brilliant beam.
Fear is far,
and darkness faded,
With light
over head, all troubles have abated.
But all to
soon the sun goes down,
Lingering as
it touches the ground.
She gives a
mighty, beautiful good bye,
But we are
always left with the dark night sky.
But in a
city, busy and bright,
The sun’s
fade has still left light.
Man made
lights around us glare,
Keeping us
from what’s really there.
Above the
earthly atmosphere,
Beyond any
man’s farthest fear,
There gleams
many heavenly balls of glory,
Outdone done
by man, trying to combat worry.
At the
country-side, naturally darker,
The sun’s
good bye, has left the sky starrier
The city
lights glimmer, dim in the distance,
But stars
become more beautiful in briliance.
Surrounded
by darkness, but refusing fear,
We visually
see God’s stars become near.
The lights
are dimmed so that we can see,
The small
joys that God brings to you and me.
But in a
wilderness, alone and scared,
night sets
in with additional fear,
But with no city
lights to dim their existence
The stars
shine in glory at no great distance.
When all
man’s lights have failed to show,
When all
invention fail to glow,
We are left
depending on the starry truth,
The one the
never fails to sooth.
Accustomed
by God to seeing his greatness,
He send
clouds at times to test our faithfulness.
In a wilderness
all alone,
The clouds
set in and darkness groans
We Know by
faith, that those stars still exist,
But only will faith keep from fleeing this.
We want to
flee to man made brights,
To comfort
ourselves with a finite light.
But faith alone
reminds us that,
The stars are
there, we just can't see it.
Faith builds
up a mighty wall,
Taller that
even the darkest tall.
Prepared to
trust that through every storm
The lights
still shine, in a heavenly form.
Build your
wall through every shadow
Make it
stong, don’t build shallow.
Build up
your wall of faith.
the stars
will never leave their place
Out of every
corner, there creeps a fear,
Every shadow
comes so near.
But a
darkness that over shadows all,
Is what
creates the Christian’s wall.

In the Waiting
No longer will she sit in the living room chair,
A reminder of what used to be there.
A reminder of the strong and Godly woman,
One who cooked and cleaned and kept the place run’n.
The gentle spirit who could beautifully sing,
The sound made your heart want to dance free.
She’ll no longer be there to play the role,
Of Mother, Sister, Wife, or the one to be bold;
To go before and lead the way,
To go before and lead the way,
Or be the gentle grandmother and dimply stay.
We can no longer talk with her and learn the knowledge,
Stuff that’s been collecting through more than just college.
She’s gone forever, but then not quite.
We’ll see her in heaven with eternal delight.
There we can spend every moment together,
Only a short life wait and then it could never be better.
We’ll spend every moment praising the Lord,
We’ve just got to wait till we
go heavenward.
-So until then, Lord give us strength.

One Night
The cries of a new-born in a manger,
A tired mother after labor.
An absolutely humbling sight,
The king of the world rapped gently and tight.
The father helps his wife lay down,
While in his mind he does crown,
The little child in the stable,
with all the glory of the world.
An angel lights upon a hill,
Telling shepherds to be still.
That not far in the town a ways,
There lies a king, in his first days.
The shepherds taking their young sheep,
Start to walk and steadily seek,
The resting place of this young king.
To say that “Him” they have truly seen.
A star rises in the east,
Slowly but it does not cease.
The first time since the dawn of time,
A king was born from a heavenly line.
A wise-man looking at this star to study,
Urgently summons his wise buddy.
Telling him that yes indeed,
The King of the Jews has been seen.
So what became of this wondrous night,
When the people saw these awesome sights?
The babe grew, but was killed quite young.
He was mad t’was said, and as King was shunned.
The shepherd let such a risk to their flocks,
To find a babe in cave of rock.
The wise-man could be said to have wasted many days,
To find only a boy, not a king that was praised.
But that boy that was killed young,
died for us as God’s only son.
To show us that sin can be forgiven.
That as humans, any life is worth living.
That as people, weather born in a manger,
or if you grew up and got your mager's,
That every life has a purpose,
and to all we must be gracious.
The shepherds which left such a risk to their
flocks,
Were crowned as men who would lay down the lot.
As men that would sacrifice what it took,
To take up the cross and to Jesus always look.
Men that had faith to follow a voice,
Even though it was a great choice.
They were the first to see this king,
Because they followed what they had not seen.
The Wise man who was said to have wasted his
time,
tagging after a Jewish rhyme,
Had the opportunity to give gifts to a king.
The greatest treasure the wise man could obtain.
The man was forever seen as one,
who gave a gift to the poor woman’s son.
And this son turned out to be,
The greatest man in history.
